First selection list for admission to DU affiliated seven colleges published

On Tuesday (August 22) afternoon, the first selection list for undergraduate 1st year admission in seven colleges affiliated to Dhaka University was published. The second selection for admission will be published on the afternoon of August 28.

Results are published online at 7college.du.ac.bd on the website designated for affiliated colleges of Dhaka University.

To view the nominated subjects for the admission seekers of all units of government seven colleges, click on the subject nomination button from the web site dashboard. Nominated students can pay the advance fee (Tk. 3000) till August 26 to stop or start subject migration. If the mentioned advance fee is not deposited within the stipulated time, the candidate will be considered not willing to take admission.

In the next migration, the candidate will be shown as absent, said Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Chairman, Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dhaka University.

Dr. Mostafiz also said that four more (total five) merit list will be published on the basis of merit, subject to vacant seats. This year 39 thousand 258 students have applied for admission in seven colleges. Out of this, 23 thousand 490 students got opportunity in the first selection list.

It is known that a total of 45 thousand 620 applications have been submitted this time. Out of this, 16 thousand 773 applications have been submitted in science unit, 17 thousand 320 in arts and social science unit and 11 thousand 527 subject and college choice applications in commerce unit. In contrast, this year, seven colleges have a total of 23,490 seats in 3 units for undergraduate program (graduate) admission. Whereas the number of seats in arts and social science unit is 9 thousand 979, the number of seats in business education unit is 4 thousand 892 and the total number of seats in science unit is 8 thousand 619.
